Back in Fontainebleau.
Five months after our first visit to the forest and after alot of ambling around France, Spain and a petite visite to Italy we return to Fontainebleau for the last days of our adventure.
The days are now longer, hotter, stormier; the climbing just as epic.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate this ad. Not only is it promoting recycling, it’s also creating a system where the name ‘coca-cola’ is in even more places without much more cost to the company.
I love this.
A major corporation using their influence to promote upcycling and killing two birds with one stone - one new plastic item isn’t made, and a coke bottle doesn’t end up in a landfill or ocean (because, in reality, our recycling system sucks). It’s not a solution, but it’s finally a step ahead for our problem.
Majka Burhardt & Kate Rutherford climbing on basalt columns in Armenia
Basalt has an incredible beauty. Armenia’s caves full of straight repetitive lines have hypnotized us. The inverted staircases are like the frescos painted on the arching vaulted ceilings of the world’s religious temples. And we want to go find new routes slicing through these pieces of art.
